According to the UN Water Division, water has major potential for instigating cooperation between States. It must be integrated across the board in international negotiations, notably in addressing the challenges involved in climate change.

We have recently received several questions about the quality of drinking water. In particular, Mr Petit, who recently made a contribution to the Waterblog, has once again questioned the reliability of the checks carried out. In a period when legitimate questions such as these are used for purposes that are more or less honest, it seemed important to provide a situation report on the quality of tap water.
