Every year, 22 March celebrates water and reminds us all of its importance. Established by the United Nations (UN) after the Rio Summit in 1992, World Water Day motivates all players, individuals and organisations across the world to take action.
This year, the UN is inviting us to reflect in particular on the urban management of water. The centre of festivities will be Cape Town in South Africa. The actions carried out are therefore intended to highlight and encourage governments, organisations, communities and individuals to actively engage in the struggle and the challenge of urban water management.
